Day in the life, Day 1

I honestly am at a loss and to be honest not all that creative with titles so here we are we are going to go one day at a time! Can I just say that yesterday ended up being an awesome day for numbers!

When looking at the lows, you have to keep in mind that it takes about 15 minutes after a low snack for the blood sugar to actually show any progress. Also, I have his lows set at 80 so that I can catch them if they are going down to fast!!

He was doing SO well yesterday!!! I can't praise him enough, honestly. He was putting in the work to keep them in range. It didn't just " happen" to be a good day. He made it happen. So ALL the Praise to him.

He does have trouble sleeping sometimes so he took some melatonin last night. Not long afterwards, he called me saying that he was feeling shaking. His Dexcom was saying 130 but his number was actually 180 with a finger poke. I reconfigured his Dexcom and not long afterwards he dropped about 100 in about 30 minutes. He only went down to 78 thank goodness. It is something I'll have to remember in the future though.

Today we have school conferences. So far he's been doing REALLY well with his grades being almost all A's!!! I can't praise him enough for the hard work that he is doing. We had a couple hiccups this weekend. Today we are back on track though!!

Tell next time my lovelies!
