Day in the life, Day 10 Activity & Hydration

Yesterday got a little scary at bedtime. Ryllar kept going low and we could just not keep up. For most of the day I kept him in manual mode and just kept his insulin as it was normally he would eat and then honestly I was not giving him, the full carbs dose he would need because he was outside almost all day yesterday and he was so active and he kept drinking water.
Then towards the end of the day he went to eat and it was a very high protein meal and I would normally have dosed him 12 units but because he was trending low and I kept backing off on his basal insulin I only gave him four units and I shouldn't have even given him that because he was going low constantly after that. I was constantly feeding him carbs I ended up backing off his Basal I turned it off honestly for most of the night because every time that he got a little insulin he was going extremely low and we both needed sleep. So he sat about 200 last night and that's just how it was going to be because every little bit of insulin was triggering it to go low and needing him to eat. This morning he's still sitting a little high but he woke up and noticed he was high and drank some water and he was instantly dropping by 16 points so I gave him some drip hydration because I know that there's sodium in there and I figure that it will help and so far it has been helping I’ve been dosing in little increments.
I turned his insulin back on low at first and adjusted his correction dose from 18 to 50. Then put it back in automatic mode. We will see how it goes. I’m sure the correction will go back up to what it was eventually. I need him to not be so hydrated first though.
Tell tomorrow my lovelies!
