Day in the life, Day 3 Growth Hormone Highs

Yesterday started out at a high day, honestly the only thing that I can think of is that he is growing still. Up until he was heading home from school, he was high after eating... eggs and then really high after lunch.
When he got home, he was home just in time to check and confirm he was really low. We treated his low, after he was above 70, we then dosed for his meal he was going to have. I did give him a liquid IV to, to help keep him hydrated and help with his electrolytes that we dosed for as well.
Also, when he came home yesterday, I had the rule of eating only 2 times. Once right after he was home, and he'd waited his 15 minutes for his insulin to kick in at 3 pm. Then again at 7. That seemed to work and help.
When it came time for bed he did opt to take melatonin, so be safe. I waited to see if he his sugars would go high and drop right away again. They did not, or not by too much. So, I put him in manual mode and dosed him for his high that came once he fell asleep. His insulin did its job, and he was down too normal for him range after an hour and half. About 20 minutes after that, I did see him trend up a bit, so I went and dosed him, and he was good for the rest of the night!
Him being high for an hour and a half isn't idle. His insulin takes that long to work though. Overall, I would say it was a better night then the night before. I will be upping his basal rate at night to hopeful bring him down at least a little more than having him at 180.
Tell next time my lovelies,
