Days in the life 6-9! Weekend fun!

I’ve been a little busy this weekend! The kids have been on spring break and I’ve been trying to keep up with Ryllar’s numbers!

As you can see I think I’ve been doing a better job then I was! I still have my moments, where I try to cut back because he’s running a little low and get humbled really quick with his numbers going high!!!

Saturday he had pizza and then went low after dosing only to go high about 2 hours later! Not just a little high either, no he was in the 300’s! So I got up and dosed him and put him in manual mode.

At this point I’m thinking of just keeping him in manual mode because automatic mode keeps pausing his basal insulin when he’s at 110 or lower causing him to go high later!

Another thing I’m learning is if he is active after he eats then he will still go low, if insulin is given or not. So I have to wait tell he’s ready to sit down and stay sitting to dose for his food because THAT is when he skyrockets from the food.

It’s a constant learning battle lately. I’m learning though as fast as I can. We are getting way better than we were at the beginning!!!
